NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is ‘surprised’ by the low TV ratings of the NBA Finals, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat are at record lows in the history of the event.

“According to sources, commissioner Adam Silver still is surprised at the low audience with LeBron James chasing his fourth title at age 35.

Silver is aiming for next year’s NBA Finals to not compete in the crowded sports month of October,” Berman reports.

Game 5 of the Finals between the Lakers and the Heat is on Friday.
