Barcelona | Transfer Market He’s fourth choice for Koeman
Samuel Umtiti could be on his way out of the Camp Nou during the January transfer window, with Barcelona needing to offload players.
Ronald Koeman doesn’t have the Frenchman as part of his plans and, even in Gerard Pique’s absence, Umtiti is still behind Clement Lenglet, Ronald Araujo and Oscar Mingueza in the pecking order.
It now appears as though his future lies in Ligue 1. L’Equipe have reported that Nice are interested and he could return to France to act as Dante’s replacement, with the Brazilian out injured.
Umtiti has fallen out of favour at Barcelona. From being a key player in the past to now managing just 55 minutes since September, he has struggled to get back to his best and hasn’t been helped by countless injury setbacks.
