The Chicago Bulls went on a complete overhaul of their front office and coaching staff in the summer. President Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley made the decision to hire Billy Donovan as the head coach, after parting ways with Jim Boylen.

Donovan will bring leadership and a winning mentality in the Chicago Bulls’ young core, according to GM Marc Eversley.

“You will see a quick turnaround in terms of the output that these players give,” general manager Marc Eversley said on Chicago Tribune. “By going out and getting a Billy Donovan, who brings a different voice to the gym. He brings winning. He brings leadership. He brings player development.

And if you put that voice at the top of this thing, I think our players will grow. I don’t know if it’s going to be immediate, but they’re going to grow. This team is better than a 22-win team, the talent is. If we tweak it and do some little things, we’ll see some results that are positive.”

The Bulls finished last season with one of the worst records in the league securing one more lottery pick for them to add to their young core of Zach LaVine, Coby White, Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr.

While Billy Donovan’s exact coaching style might still be in question, his ability to make adjustments from season-to-season based on his roster is not.

And the Bulls should benefit from that next season.@JamalCollier’s story.https://t.co/LVYLy22Pve
