Charlotte traded for Biyombo after he was drafted as the seventh overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in 2011 but did not extend a qualifying offer in 2015, leaving him free to sign with the Toronto Raptors. The 28-year-old center returned to Charlotte in 2018 via trade, following a stint with the Orlando Magic. He averaged 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds a game in 53 appearances for the team last season.
