FC Barcelona – La Liga Occurred during defeat to Atletico
Ousmane Dembele suffered a shoulder strain during Saturday night’s defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano. The Frenchman picked up the injury after a fall in the first half, although he was able to carry on. The winger was under attention after an incident with Yannick Carrasco, but Ronald Koeman decided to leave him on.
The severity of the injury remains to be seen, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that Dembele underwent tests on Sunday morning. For the moment, Barcelona have not commented on Dembele’s knock, but they have done so about the injuries picked up by Sergi Roberto and Gerard Pique.
Given that Dembele was able to carry on playing it is hoped that his injury will not be too serious, but if he does have to miss the next match – which is away to Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday night – it leaves Koeman with a headache as he is already missing Ansu Fati through injury.
