Hornets waive Nicolas Batum to make deal with Gordon Hayward official

The Charlotte Hornets are waiving Nicolas Batum in order to make the deal with Gordon Hayward official.

The Hornets will let Batum go in order to create cap space and land Hayward.

The former Boston Celtics forward has agreed to a four-year deal with Charlotte, worth $120M.

The Hornets will waive Nic Batum to create cap space to sign Gordon Hayward, reports @rick_bonnell.
