The New Orleans Pelicans have extended their qualifying offer to team star Brandon Ingram.
Ingram has now become a restricted free agent, while his qualifying offer is worth $9.5M.
If Ingram gets an offer from another NBA team, the Pelicans can match it and keep him in the roster.
The young forward led the Pelicans in scoring last season, with 23.8 points per game, along with 6.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steal.
Per league sources: The New Orleans Pelicans tendered a qualifying offer to Brandon Ingram. Ingram will now be a restricted free agent.
