Real Madrid 2-0 Celta: Carvajal collects fifth yellow card and will miss Osasuna trip next Saturday

Real Madrid 2-0 Celta Zidane confirmed slight injury

Yellow for Carvajal

Real Madrid will be without Dani Carvajal for their next match in LaLiga Santander after the defender picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Celta Vigo.

The right-back was booked for leaving the field too slowly when he was substituted towards the end of the second half on Saturday night.

After the game, Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the No.2 was suffering from a minor injury problem, which was the reason behind his substitution.

“Carva had a niggle,” Zidane explained. “I think it’s a minor thing and it was best not to take risks.”

Having reached the limit of five yellow cards in 2020/21, Carvajal will now miss next Saturday’s trip to face Osasuna.
