Real Madrid – La Liga: Aspas is a threat to a Real Madrid without Ramos

Real Madrid – La Liga Celta Vigo visit Valdebebas

Aspas is a threat to a Real Madrid without Ramos

Real Madrid head into the first match of 2021 without captain Sergio Ramos and up against an in-form Iago Aspas.

Celta Vigo visit the Spanish capital on Saturday night, and the former Liverpool striker is once again having a fine season, currently top of the LaLiga Santander scoring charts with nine goals.

The Galicians narrowly avoided relegation last campaign but it’s a different story so far this campaign, and they arrive at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano having picked up 16 points out of the last 18 up for grabs, sitting comfortably in eighth position.

In addition to the threat posed by Aspas and co, the absence of Sergio Ramos is a big concern for Zinedine Zidane. The Real Madrid captain was unable to train with his teammates on Friday due to stomach problems, and Nacho looks likely to take his place

Real Madrid head into the game determined to get back to winning ways following their slip against Elche, and there is no room for error with Atletico Madrid flying high at the top of the table.

While Ramos is out, Eden Hazard could start against Celta, having returned to action against Elche.
