Real Madrid will take on Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica this Saturday afternoon and they’ve travelled to Castellon with many players missing. There was no Sergio Ramos, no Alvaro Odriozola, no Eder Militao, no Casemiro, no Fede Valverde, no Karim Benzema and no Luka Jovic con the plane.

That left Zinedine Zidane with a puzzle to solve in his starting line-up and he has brought Martin Odegaard into the midfield and gone for a unique attacking trio of Lucas Vazquez, Mariano and Eden Hazard. Villarreal, meanwhile, are without Paco Alcacer due to injury and this sees Carlos Bacca start up front.

The complete Villarreal line-up for this match is as follows: Sergio Asenjo; Mario Gaspar, Raul Albiol, Pau Torres, Alfonso Pedraza; Dani Parejo, Vicente Iborra, Manu Trigueros; Gerard Moreno, Carlos Bacca, Moi Gomez.

The complete Real Madrid line-up for this match is as follows: Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Ferland Mendy; Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Matin Odegaard; Lucas Vazquez, Mariano, Eden Hazard.
