Cameroonian footballer Didier Lamkel Ze, who plays for Royal Antwerp, wants to force a move to Panathinaikos and, since the club aren’t giving in, he turned up to training wearing the shirt of a direct rival – Anderlecht.

His attitude has not pleased the fans of the team at all.

According to dhnet.be, this has caused fans to threaten him and forced police to intervene to guarantee his safety.

“We are not bodyguards, but we take the situation seriously,” Antwerp police spokesperson Willem Migon said.

“We can’t say anything at this moment, but it is true that we have detected threats against him after the events of the last few days.

“Therefore, we are closely following the situation.”

Lamkel Ze has since apologised for his actions.
