Transfer Market LaLiga Santander and Premier League clubs also interested
Sergio Romero is free to leave Manchester United this winter and Major League Soccer looks likely to be his next destination.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set for something of a clearout of his squad, and the Argentine goalkeeper is one of the players who is seen as disposable.
Having come close to joining Everton last year, Romero has been on the exit ramp at Old Trafford for some time now, as Dean Henderson’s return from Sheffield United at the end of the 2019/20 season has seen him fall to third choice.
According to the Daily Mail, there are a number of teams interested in signing him. In the Premier League, Brighton are keen to bring him into the club, having confirmed that Matt Ryan is free to leave this January.
Romero has also had offers from LaLiga Santander, but the team best placed to sign him are David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
The MLS side have room to add more international players following Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival in the summer.
