Warriors reportedly targeting Austin Rivers in free agency

The Golden State Warriors are interested in signing Austin Rivers in free agency, per Tim Kawakami of The Athletic.

Rivers remains an unrestricted free agent and could fill one of the last spots in the Warriors’ roster.

Golden State is searching for Klay Thompson’s replacement, as the latter suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on his right leg.

Rivers averaged 8.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists last season.

The market probably has to shake out a little more because the Warriors’ tools are limited, but @anthonyVslater has been pointing to Austin Rivers for a while and he’s still available. Depends on the price point, I’d guess. https://t.co/w5Yth3mgaI
