Nicolas Pepe made a bad afternoon worse on Sunday as the winger followed an under-par first half with a red card shortly after the break in Arsenal‘s clash with Leeds United at Elland Road.
Arsenal struggled in the first half in West Yorkshire and were fortunate to see Leeds miss a host of chances in a mirroring of the two sides’ meeting in the FA Cup third round in January.
After Willian was replaced by Reiss Nelson at half-time, Pepe gave his manager Mikel Arteta a headache when he was caught headbutting Leeds left-back Gjanni Alioski by VAR.
We told you Leeds and Arsenal often gets nasty. And we love it.
